Disney World is one big photo op. To make sure that none of those vacation memories pass you by, there are Disney PhotoPass photographers stationed all over the parks. They are easily identifiable by their uniforms, and all you need to do is go up and ask for a picture.
Disney PhotoPass Photos How-To
Find a Disney PhotoPass Photographer
You will find a cluster of PhotoPass photographers to take your family’s picture in front of each park’s main icon (Cinderella Castle, Tree of Life, Spaceship Earth, etc.) and other iconic locations. There will also be a photographer with most of the characters meet and greets.
Stand in Line
Once you find a Disney PhotoPass photographer, look around and find the line. Families often stand off to the side waiting for the photographer to be available.
Approach the Disney PhotoPass Photographer
If you can’t identify a line, approach the photographer and ask them to take your picture.
Attach the Photo to Your My Disney Experience Account
Once the picture is done, have the photographer scan your MagicBand and the picture will be added to your online My Disney Experience account. If you do not have a MagicBand, ask the photographer for a PhotoPass card.
Look at your PhotoPass Photos
To get your PhotoPass Photos, go to My Disney Experience online or to the My Disney Experience App. If you already have an account, you will find your pictures under “My Photos.” If you don’t have an account, you will need to create one then attach either your MagicBand or the PhotoPass card to your account.
Share your Disney PhotoPass Photos
From My Disney Experience, you can share the photos with friends and family. To download photos to your computer, purchase a Memory Maker photo package or an individual picture. There is even an option to have photos and gifts printed by Disney.
Disney PhotoPass Tips
Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots
Some PhotoPass photographers have the ability to shoot Magic Shots. The photographer poses you in a particular position, and characters or other items appear when you view your pictures online.
Disney PhotoPass Ride Photos and Videos
Some attractions offer ride photos and videos that may be added to your PhotoPass account. After exiting the ride, you will see a wall of monitors showing the ride photos. Follow the arrows for your photo, and scan your MagicBand or PhotoPass card to have the picture added to your account. Some rides even have bonus videos!
Disney PhotoPass Borders and Stickers
In My Disney Experience, you may add fun borders and stickers to your photos before downloading. You can even save multiple copies of the same picture with different embellishments.
Photos with Your Camera
Need a photo to post right away on social media? PhotoPass Photographers and their Cast Member helpers are willing to take a picture with your camera.
Is Memory Maker Worth Buying
Individual photo downloads are $14.95 each and the Memory Maker with all of your photos is $169.00. If you purchase at least three days before your trip, the price goes down to $149.00. So, if you anticipate wanting at least ten photos, it is worth the price to buy the Memory Maker before your trip.
